I can hear you thinking. How it’s possible? Why would software platforms do that in the first place?

There are several reasons why; one of them being an effortless way to quickly expand their user base and build with feedback and insights from users. Another reason for this approach is to spread awareness for the software platform, which will help platforms grow into a booming business in no time! There are other reasons as well – these just happen to be some common ones.

Founder’s Note

Hi everyone👋,

We're excited to be featured on Dealify! My name is Gerard, and together with my co-founder (and twin brother) Ricard, we have founded Senseily.

Over the last few years, there has been an increasing demand for online education. The sanitary crisis we are dealing with at this very moment has boosted this increase in demand. With an also more substantial interest among the population for generating passive income streams and digital businesses, we have pushed us to start developing Senseily.

Senseily is the only platform you will need to create, launch, market, and grow your knowledge base business.

Apart from the usual online courses, there is the possibility to sell 1-on-1 coaching/mentoring private lessons and webinars. These 1-on-1 sessions represent a significant boost in interaction with the public resulting in a more than a substantial increase in the total income. Research shows that students tend to be inclined to acquire private sessions with the people they follow. You can easily do that on the platform we have built.

We're looking forward to hearing your feedback and to answer all your questions!

Your tools and its s roadmap looks promising. I have few queries

    1. When your custom page builder coming up. is this drag and drop builder and Can we add custom html/css blocks.
    2. will your webinar integrated with zoom or your own webinar platform? Please update.
    3. Seems your video is hosted with vimeo? do you have any plan to switch over to other video hosting provider?
    4. How many attendee can attend webinar in single time under pro plan.
    5. Do you also have plan to add marketing funnel page builder.
    6. Looking forward video embed option specially looking to embed vadoo TV hosted video.

  • Daryl says:

Does “3 Teams” on the pro plan mean that we can have 3 different academies with 3 different custom domains?

When do you expect to allow text below the videos?

    Thanks, D.aryl

    • Gerard Pons says:

      Hi Daryl,

Yes, that’s correct. We plan to change it to just one (1) school for the Pro plan and give the multi-school feature to the Ultimate plan only. However, anyone buying an LTD will keep all benefits forever.

Video and text lessons (media lessons) are coming to Senseily before the end of June. It will probably happen very very soon, but we prefer to give a more extended deadline, just in case.

      Thank you!

      • DARYL says:

Thank you for your response. One more quick question before I decide… I noticed you ask for payouts to go to a bank or Paypal. Does this mean that students sign up and go through your Stripe account? If so, when do schools get their payouts?

        • Gerard Pons says:

Payments are made with our Stripe account but, if you connect yours (we use Stripe Express accounts at the moment), we’ll collect the payment on your behalf and transfer it to your account after a 14-day hold period.

          • Kor says:

            Hello,
is it possible to use Authorize.net? The transfer is much quicker. Thanks!
            K

  • Conor says:

    Wow Gerard!

I thought you were very quick responding 😂. Sounds great wasn’t expecting these features to come that quickly. I will keep an eye out for the blogs. Congrats the platform is great.

  • Conor says:

    Hi Gerard,
I run an academy on Wordpress with Learndash and do like the flexability with a WordPress site, I do feel that costs continue to rise with every new functionality and the need to upgrade servers with more customers and the rest. So I have been trying out a few different LMS systems. I have used the trial on Senseily and honestly love the product I think it is very modern and the UI and UX is easy to use, unlike WordPress for a non-techy. Also as a teacher I do a lot of tutoring so the built in 1-to-1 sessions was a great idea!
However, Senseily isn’t very flexible and I can imagine this is due to it’s infancy. I’m definitely going to grab a Pro Plan and on the fence about splashing out on Ultimate, I believe in the long run it’ll be worth it.
What I would recommend and would like to hear if it could be implemented relatively soon is:
    1) The functionality to add HTML blocks within a page – both in the course and the page builders. This would allow to embed videos from different hosts (And probably save Senseily on Vimeo as well)
    2) Headers to add scripts for communication bubbles like Boei, Crisp, Intercom etc – as well as this I teach Mathematics so being able to add a script for MathJax or Latex to render mathematical formulas would be very nice!
    3) Is there something in the pipeline for quizzes; multiple choice, fill-in-the-blanks etc?
    4) A few branding issues; The ability to add SMTP so I can send email notifications from my domain as opposed to Senseily. The Stripe product for one-to-one shows the Senseily domain instead of the custom domain and more I can’t think of right now.
    5) The ability to add text underneath the video. I know you can add PDFs and resources as well as the new rich text-editor you have made available, which are all great, instead of video, but the option to do video and text in the same page would be great!

None of these are deal breakers but would make Senseily an unbeatable LMS. These are my 2 cents and 100% think this is a great platform for non-techies, but those of us that need a small bit more customisation adding the above would be greatly help. Thanks a lot Gerard can’t wait to start selling my courses and finding new students with Senseily.

    • Gerard Pons says:

      Hi Conor,

Thank you for your words and sorry for the late response. We had an issue regarding notifications.

Let’s see if I can help here:
      1) We are almost done with the development of HTML-related features but need to figure out some details to ensure it is secure enough.
      2) That’s a fantastic input. We’re going to look into it, and it should be easy to add. The same applies to mathematical formulas.
      3) Definitely, exportable graded quizzes, tests and surveys are planned for this month. Fill-in-the-blanks could be a great addition, but I can’t guarantee it for this month.
      4) This is planned for this month as well. We will look into the issue regarding 1-on-1. It should be easy to fix.
      5) You will be able to do that with the improvements we are making to the lessons. Also, with the new media lessons, you will be able to embed external media as well. All of this is planned for this month as well.

We’ll be writing a blog post each month to share what we have been up to and where we’re going next. I encourage you to read it when we post it to get an idea of what to expect.

June will be an excellent month for Senseily, and we can’t wait to share all the great things we are preparing.

      Thank you!

  • Peter says:

That’s awesome! Thank you for being so responsive and helpful!

  • Peter says:

    Hi,

Thank you for a very attractive deal.

I’m testing the free trial on https://senseily.com/. I like the UI and it’s very easy to set up. However, when I try to upload a video in a lesson I just get the following message: “The uploaded video is being processed. Should be online in a few moments.” And then nothing happens, even after a few hours. Is perhaps uploading of videos disabled in the free trial?

I hope you will be successful with your platform.

    • Peter says:

Also, is it possible to use video encryption to protect the content from unauthorized viewing?

      • Gerard Pons says:

        Hi Peter,

You should have no limitations regarding video upload as a free trial. It looks like the video is uploading fine, but the text message stays there. We are fixing it to disappear when required and making the UX/UI more intuitive, so you know the video uploaded fine. When the video is uploaded, you should see the “Remove Video” button appear.

Currently, video is stored by our video host in a private, not crawled manner and with a random URL. We are working on additional security and privacy features regarding video, such as more embed restrictions.

        Thank you!

        • Peter says:

          Hi Gerard,

Thank you for your swift reply.

Yes, the “Remove Video” button has appeared, but nothing happens when I press the “PUBLISH LESSON” button (which is still greyed out). The “Upload the lesson content” requirement is also grey.

I deleted the lesson and tried again with the same results. The videos I tried to upload were less than 2Mb. I also tried it with one that was 12Mb.

All the coming features sound great, but I agree with the other comments that it would be great to have “Custom checkout pages” included with the Pro Plan instead of the extra team members.

          Thank you for your responsiveness!

          • Gerard Pons says:

The video is uploading, but the “upload the lesson content” step is not being marked as done. This is being fixed right now and will be live in the following hours. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Customized checkout pages are now available for Pro users as well.

            Thank you!

  • dec182 says:

    Hiya Senseily and Gerard

    The deal loooks very nice

    Couple of questions:
    1) what are the main diferences (to pay an extra 200 bucks), for the pro plan and the ultimate plan? i mean like, 2 teams, custom checkout and role controls, 200$? am i missing something perhaps?

    2) Do u have an example (a link) for a free school 4 we 2 see ?

    3) Can u share screen and videos on the 1 on 1 class?

    4) is there a max attendance on the webinars or other limitations?

    5) Is there a way to do classes to a group, like using google meet or microsoft teams?

    Thx for ur time!

    • Gerard Pons says:

      Hi dec,

      1) We are rethinking our pricing plans to fit our user’s needs better. We will probably leave the Pro plan with just one school (for solo teachers) and give the Ultimate plan the exclusivity for multiple schools and other more advanced features.

We value all of our LTD users as they help us develop the platform. If we happen to downgrade to any plan, users who have purchased it will keep all benefits. However, if we make any upgrade, they will get it as well.

      2) You can check a demo school I created here: https://crafts-for-dummies.senseily.com/

      3) We are preparing a series of video tutorials that are not ready yet. But, you can create a free account and try it for 14 days. As of today, when a student books a 1-on-1 lesson, you have to send him instructions to join the call. Zoom and other integrations are coming with the third-party integrations update soon.

      4) Yes, there are some attendance limitations. I can’t give you the details now, but the ultimate plan will allow a more significant number of attendees.

      5) Group classes are on the roadmap but not live yet. We will probably rename the 1-on-1 panel to Classes or Lessons, and this panel will contain 1-on-1 lessons and Group lessons.

      Thank you!

  • Lisa Silvani says:

    Hi,
Thank you for bringing Senseily. I have several questions:
    1. Can we also sell ebooks or other digital products with Senseily?
    2. What kind of messaging features are you planning to implement? Can we send drip messages to participants?
    3. Where do we host the videos and products? Does Senseily integrate with Publitio or Intrnxt?

    Thank you

    • Gerard Pons says:

      Hi Lisa,

      1. E-books and other digital products are planned for a later stage of the platform.

      2. Community posts and direct messaging features are being developed. Drip messages will probably have to wait until the release of the drip content schedule feature.

      3. Video hosting for video lessons is included. You’ll have to manage the hosting for videos you embed on a lesson (this feature is coming soon). We’ll evaluate Publitio and Intrnxt as third-party integration.

  • Sebastian says:

    Hi! The platform looks great.
    I have 2 questions:
1.- I live in Latin America. And I want to sell courses in Spanish. But only 50% of Latin Americans have a credit card. I know 2 platforms that allow any type of payment from the country of origin when integrating it with Woocommerce for example, in other words in WordPress. They are: ebanx.com and dlocal.com. Could there be a solution similar to the one I am telling you about?
2.- Do you have Weebhooks integration? To conect the platform with Integromat.

    • Gerard Pons says:

      Hi Sebastian,

1.- Thanks a lot for your question here. We weren’t aware of the issue regarding credit cards in Latin America. We’ll certainly look into it to bring a solution.
2.- Webhooks are not live yet, but we are already working on it as many users have requested it.

  • Kai Meng says:

    Hi Gerard!
    Thanks for the attractive deal!

    (1) May we confirm that we can upload unlimited number of videos, regardless of amount of storage needed?

    (2) In a single lesson, can we have multiple videos and PDF?

    (3) May we have an estimated launch date for the HTML embed feature please?

    • Gerard Pons says:

      Hi Kai,

(1)(2) It is one video per video lesson. You can have unlimited courses and lessons, so technically, you can upload an unlimited number of videos. Yet, you can add as many PDF files as you need as support resources in a single lesson.

      (3) To have multiple videos in a single lesson, you’ll have to wait for the HTML/embedding feature. I can’t give you an ETA today, but we’ll be updating the roadmap soon, so keep an eye on that.

      Thanks!

      • Kai Meng says:

        Thanks Gerard!

Will students be able to ask questions/comment below each lesson, perhaps even with pics upload?

        • peterkarlen says:

          Hi Kai,

I agree, that would be a great feature I’d like as well. It’s important that students can ask questions inside the lesson, and also see questions and answers from other students. Many of the big platforms have implemented this.

  • PATRICK DAILEY says:

A question in regards to the 1-on-1 sessions (and I imagine this could apply to webinars as well).

Will I be able to record the session? I would imagine that you have the ability to do so.

  • Chris says:

Among the features above, I have a question about the webinar.
Is it an alternative to zoom?
Please describe as much detail as possible about the features of the webinar.
If it is an alternative to Zoom, I can save on the cost of subscribing to Zoom.

    • Gerard Pons says:

      Hi Chris,

With Webinars, you can host web seminars with chat, Q&A, multiple speakers and any features you would find in other webinars.
Plus, we add additional features to boost conversions and upsell your products straight from the webinar itself.

I believe it will be enough for you as long as you use it in the same way we have intended, to sell your online educational products. If you use it to join other meetings or in any other way, I believe you will want to use Zoom on its own.

  • Agustín says:

    Dear friend

I have some questions about Senseily Pro Plan Lifetime Subscription. Do you have the option for One Time Offer in the landing page? So people can buy an extra training with a special discount, after they buy the first one

Do you have unlimited landing pages?

How many domains will be allow to configurate with this plan?

Can I synchronize with pabbly and sendgrid? Thanks

    • Gerard Pons says:

      Hi Agustín,

At the moment, you can only apply discounts by creating Coupons. However, the Bundles feature is already on the roadmap and could be used for that.

You can create unlimited courses, and each course has its own landing page. Would you need more than one landing page per course?

It is one domain per School as of today. But, we are working on multiple domain support. I can’t give you an exact number now, but I don’t think that’s going to be a problem.

Pabbly and other third-party integrations are coming to Senseily as well. Sendgrid is not confirmed yet, though. Will see what we can do here.

      Thanks!

  • Ron Ng/ says:

Considering this platform for our private tutor classes.
I’d like to have the following features after a quick try out:

    – Add new currency. There are just USD and EUR for now. We’re in Vietnam and would like to add VND
    – Any other payment platform that can be used in South East Asia? Or just let us use bank transfer and manually active users. Is it possible?

    Thank you.

    • Gerard Pons says:

      Hi Ron,

      New currencies are coming soon.
Would PayPal work as a payment method in your region?

      Thank you!

      • Erik Haze says:

Do you support PayPal at the moment? And Stripe?
        According to this page:
        https://senseily.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/80000216609-adding-a-payment-method
you have Apply Pay and CC at the moment.

        • Gerard Pons says:

          Hi Erik,

We support Apple Pay and Stripe (CC) as a payment method for subscribing to Senseily.

Students can pay for your products through Stripe.

You can receive payouts of your earnings to your bank account (via Stripe) or PayPal account.

We’ll be adding more payment methods in the future.

      • Ron says:

        Hi Gerard,

Paypal works but it’s not used very widely here. And btw, can students/users access the courses and learn on their mobile devices? I mean does the system allow students study the whole course on their mobile without any hussles?

        Thanks

        • Ron says:

          And moreover,

          – Does its UI/UX support other language (Vietnamese in this case) as my users is low english level?
          – Does it support for online examination, not only online course?

          Thank you

          • Gerard Pons says:

            Hi Ron,

Yes, the platform is fully responsive for both teachers and students.
Graded tests & quizzes are already on the roadmap.
Although Vietnamese is not supported yet, we are working on a solution for this.

  • Jutee says:

    Hello
    1) Can courses be created which are offered free of charge?
    2) Is it possible to offer these free courses without registration? That means anyone is able to join directly without logging in beforehand?

    • Gerard says:

      Hi Jutee,

Yes, you can create free of charge courses.

Students are not able to access the content without logging in, though.

May I ask you for an example use case for this feature to see if this would be useful for more people?

      Thanks in advance!

      • Harry says:

I can also vouch that a free course with no logging in requirement would be valuable to me as a content creator as well. Sometimes, a “free sample” with no obligations attached is a valuable trust factor, plus, being able to upsell in the course itself and / or the email sequences to follow can work.

        • Gerard Pons says:

Great addition, Harry. I can see how this could be useful now. It fits with the way we want our features to work together. We’ll have to see how we can make this work, though. Thanks!

      • Jutee says:

Thank you for your reply. You ask for an example of use without registration. As SaaS, you could create a free course for a large web tool. This would go beyond a knowledgebase or video collection. It would have a logical structure and is didactically well done. In such a case I as a publisher don’t care if the user skips a chapter, I don’t need any control. If one does not have to provide personal data, more people will complete the course. That is in our interest. An optional registration to save one’s progress would be optimal.

        • Gerard Pons says:

Hi, Jutee. Thanks for the feedback! We have taken note of the request. It is an interesting one, and we’ll be evaluating it shortly.

  • BENJAMIN FOUKS says:

    good morning

how can i test the plateform?

  • Harry says:

    Hello,

I’m considering this platform for my business.

I like that you have a public roadmap, and you’re very quick to reply to posts here.

This seems like a great culture you’re creating, so congrats on your business so far!

Some of my suggestions / requests are:

When you have 3 plan versions, IMHO it makes sense to offer all of the different features for your mid-level option, (in this case the Pro plan), and simply offer more users / domains (and perhaps a white label option) for your Ultimate.

This can help your users take full advantage of your platform sooner, with everything they need for their core brand, and then help them want to upgrade when they expand and profits increase. It can feel a bit intimidating, and costly when getting started, to feel the need to jump right away into the high-tier or suffer not having needed features.

Obviously, you need to balance profit with listening to feedback, but I know a lot of value has gone into this so far, and will continue. This looks like a very promising platform, so you have my encouragement.

Please consider my request, and I’m looking forward to considering the Pro plan, either way.

    • Gerard says:

      Hi Harry,

Many thanks for your valuable words. What you are suggesting here makes complete sense, and it is something we are considering for sure.

Please, stick around for any changes on that.

      Thank you!

  • Jonathan says:

If we can have unlimited courses – can we link them to unlimited custom domains?

How many custom domains are we allowed under each account?

    • Gerard says:

      Hi Jonathan,

At the moment, it is one custom domain per school. All school courses are grouped into the school sales page and then each course has its own sales page.

But, as popular demand, we’ll be adding support for multiple custom domains so you can assign them to any school or course page on its own.

I can’t give you the number of custom domains as of today, but I don’t think that’s going to be a problem.

      Thank you!

  • Dave Exequiel C Suico says:

When will the Completion certificates be released?

Also, are we able to embed our own videos via HTML?

Do you also plan to build a mobile app?

      Hi Dave,

We don’t have an actual date for the release of Completion Certificates yet. It might be around the end of summer.

You can’t embed your own videos via HTML as of today, but we are trying to add this feature to the update that is coming in the following weeks. So, you will be able to do it pretty soon.

We have plans to build a mobile app but it won’t be soon. We still have many important features we want to implement.

      Thank you.

    Hey,

    1. What is custom roles and permissions? Is it for team members ? Like different admin permissions ?

    2. What is the purpose of the custom checkout page ? How the standard checkout page looks like ? And do you have examples of what we can do/build as custom checkout pages ?

    Thanks 🙂

    • Gerard says:

      Hi kioud,

      1. Yes. At the moment you can assign your team members Administrator or Editor permissions. With custom roles and permissions we aim to give our users more flexibility to assign different permissions levels to the user roles as well as create more than two user role levels. This will make more sense once we implement the communities/membership sites.
      2. The standard checkout page is the standard Stripe page with the logo. With custom checkout pages, you can customize the look & feel as well as some of the checkout forms to match your branding. Unfortunately, I don’t have any example at the moment.

      Hope that helps.

        Thanks for your reply !

Well okay, custom checkout pages is a must have 🙂 but as a solo teacher (no need more than 1 team/team member), I was ready to grab pro plan lifetime for the features. But I can’t pay 200$ more just for custom checkout pages for ultimate.

So I will pass, good luck for this new LMS 🙂

Thank you for the comment! It is because of feedback like yours that we know what our users need.

We weren’t aware that custom checkout pages were so crucial for solo teachers and, since many of our users are teachers just like you, we might have to reconsider giving custom checkout pages to the Pro plan.

          • kioud says:

Wow !! I really like founders that listen early adopters <3

Yes I sell very expensive courses, and I like designing every single page 🙂

Let me know if you reconsider giving custom checkout pages to the pro plan, I will definitely jump on the pro plan (even if I only need one single school – if I understand well, team = school, so 3 schools on the pro plan ?).

            Thanks

          • Gerard says:

kioud, that’s right. Three schools/teams on the Pro plan. I’ll definitely let you know if that happens. Thank you!

(replying here since it won’t let me answer below)

          Hi kioud,

With the Pro plan, you can now have your logo and brand colour on the checkout page. So, no Senseily branding there. Check it out on the following link to see how it looks.

This looks promising. Especially the one-on-one and webinar features. I have two big questions though:
    1. Is your platform fully translatable? My students come from German speaking countries and so having the UI in German would be important for me.
    2. Is there a forum / community area so that students can answer each other’s question and get to know their fellow students?

    • Tom van den Heuvel says:

      Hi Saskia,

Thanks a lot for your questions. Happy to help 🙂

      1. Yes, the platform is fully translatable and we will be translating to other languages in the near future (German and Spanish will be some of the first languages to get a translation).
      2. Communities/membership sites as well as messaging features are currently being developed and will be implemented after the webinars feature (about 2 months time).

      Hope that helps!
